Flowers are basically a sex organ for the plant. That is why flowers are usually beautiful.
Sex organs are always beautiful! They have to be attractive to serve as an attraction to the opposite sex (in case of flowers, to insects which help them to reproduce).
If human beings are not at the top in the world order (there is another species which is more superior to human), then our (beautiful) sex organs may become beautiful decorations in a vase (like flowers do)....
